Remix Project

Using Ableton my remix demonstrates the use of time stretching, reversing samples, freezing and flattening reverb tracks and using the tail as a build up along with integrating a midi flute, altered to sound more like a bass synth or even electric guitar.

Small Practice set

Short sample recorded in Ableton. Used thios as a practice set to learn my way around Ableton. This helped me manage the software and learn how to record with Ableton.

Scarecrow Clip

Short animated clip with sounds recorded/mixed/royalty free used for its sound design. Used a Tascam to capture sounds at home which were then mixed in an edit suite and integrated to the project.

Also used some sounds from online and various software plugins to add extra bass or dynamics.

-Vertical Lips I Don't Want Your Love:

-Recorded 16/03/16 Fife College Studios

-Recording which took place in the studios over the course of 6 hours where, working with a partner, I recorded a band playing a song with over 12 tracks with a full studio set- up. Record includes 2 guitars, a full drum kit, vocals and bass (overdubbed). Screens were used to separate the drums in order to give them a better acoustic sense and to control spill on other mics. (Acoustics-Room Acoustics)
