Formed a group and began discussing plans for the project. Chose to create own song instead of doing a cover and decided to create it with guitar and keyboard/synths as the main instrumentation. I was chosen to compose and play a chord sequence on the guitar, as the main instrument. Also began typing up notes for the planning documentation.

Started a Gantt chart for keeping track of timescales. Used tascam to record short Continued typing up planning documentation notes, created first idea of mix using the main instruments and experimenting with virtual instruments for midi aspects of the track. Researched into Ableton and using rewire.

Learned the basics of using Ableton in preparation for using it with Rewire. Worked out the cost of studio booking at £100 for the one hour needed to record guitar in an edit suite to be added to the mix. Researched on http://www.audio-issues.com/home-recording-studio/demystifying-audio-formats-what-format-should-you-record-in/ for information on the best audio format to use and decided on using a wave file with a 16,000 to 32000 sampling rate and a 16 bit rate.
